Writing
Outside of spelling words, students can practice writing paragraphs, stories, and sentences at home! Please encourage your child to begin each sentence and proper noun with a capital letter, end each sentence with punctuation, and to add interesting adjectives to strengthen details and ideas.
Writing ideas for home:
Summarize your day
Create a story
Change the ending to a book/movie
Write a letter to a friend/family member/teacher
Write a how-to for making a recipe, building a toy, playing a game, etc

If you need writing supplies or help encouraging writing at home, please let us know!
